CincoDeVlogo: YouTube’s gas station burrito
When CincoDeVlogo first started I was impressed and expected a lot from this collab channel. It was made up of two YouTubers that I already spotlighted, two more that I would end up spotlighting, and one that I had the privilege to do a Skype interview with. I even did a guest spot and was going to sponsor their channel. However, like a gas station burrito, what was great has now given me an upset stomach.
CincoDeVlogo’s first mistake was neglecting their individual YouTube channels. It’s been months since AyyLucky uploaded new videos onto his own channel. With Andy Warski’s hectic life his time has been poorly invested into a collab channel. Both Ricky and Edwin are hanging in there, but not at a 100%. By not investing in themselves, the member of CDV are or have they lost touch with their own subscribers and potential growth in their own styles.
The next mistake happened with the lost of GraphyteTV. There was nothing wrong with him leaving. In matter of fact, it was the best move anyone in that collab channel has made for themselves regardless of why of he had left. The mistake they made was the replacement they decided on; DFizzy.
Yes, he’s funny and has a unique style that I enjoy, but it doesn’t work for CincoDeVlogo. His style clashes too much with a couple of the other members such as Andy. Also, why would you bring on someone who has been neglecting with his own channel? It gives off the impression that whoever wanted him on CincoDeVlogo only wanted to gain access to his subscribers even though it was stated otherwise.
To make matters worse, I was told they’re taking a three week break. This is an awful idea, because anytime you go on a long period without new videos you’re going lose your steam. A week long break would have been better. Enough time to get their act together, but not too long to lose their subscribers’ interest. At least respect your subscribers by making a video informing them, because I shouldn’t have to find out from a Skype call days later.
Both Andy and DFizzy would be better off walking away from CincoDeVlogo. They need to focus more on their channels which demands more from them since they’re partners. Otherwise they’ll continue to lose respect from their subscribers and never grow any bigger as YouTubers.
Lucky, Edwin, and Ricky need to think about what they want. Do they want to be known as a collab channel or as individual YouTubers? At the moment there’s little hope that they can manage both. However, I would be more than happy to be proven wrong.
Due to the support of well established and credible YouTubers and even a member of CincoDeVlogo itself I have decided to make this post public once more with a few minor changes. Note that comments that support the YouTubers mentioned or that supports my opinions are welcome. However, any comments that are personal attacks or contains vulgar language from either side will not be approved. I am OutbackZack and I’ll continue to voice my opinions.

I made a youtube account on a boring summer day to take up some spare time and have fun with it not to treat it as it’s school and I have due dates on when things are turned in, well in this case uploaded. When I’m bored and want to make a video, i do it. I think collab channels are fun, so I joined one. I’m more of a youtuber to have fun not to treat it as if it’s a job and have dates on when I upload videos.

They still keep me interested because they go live alot and its amusing:)
Everyone on Cdv is different and i think thats good for the collab
channel so it brings different types of audiences.

I found cdv because of Andy and I agree that it went to shit when they added dfizzy. I tried to give it a chance but it’s not working so I had to unsubscribe. Youre right about the styles clashing. Its great to have different people but it was just too much. Andy needs to quit and focus more on his videos. The only good that came out of this was finding out about RickyThills who should quit as well and do the same.

ive watched CDV since week one. i found about it cause of Andy Warski.
i love the channel, its a great channel.
one of my faves. i love the videos they all make and there outrageous.
as for this review, i half agree with it. it provides some points but i guess some of it could have gone unsaid.
the fact the leo had to leave and damon took his place yeah ok fair. but couldn’t have leo just taken a break? i mean when andy posts late and stuff nothing happens… its just sad.
and now that they are on a 3 week break with out saying anything??
i dunno.
im subbed to them all individually and enjoy all of them.
and i think thats all i wanna say about it.

There is no reason to show any sort of negativity. Dfizzy has CLEARLY stated that he does youtube for fun. He has school and he has a life. He hasnt gotten “lazy” at all. I know that we (his subscribers) like him because we totally enjoy his personality. He makes great videos just by talkinng to his camera. Us subscribers are loyal. We will always stick up for him. Hes doing youtube for fun and i know that we all have fun watching him. Hes a great guy doing his own thing. Hes not looking for fame. Dont call him lazy and dont try and make it out to be as if he is being used.

People neglect making videos on their own channels for various reasons: school, work, lack of new ideas, trolls, burnout. As for Dfizzy and Edwinsgeneration, they focus more on live broadcasts, which can be seen as a step up from YouTube.
Yes, it sucks when collab members can’t or won’t update their personal channels, but that’s on them. Who are you to demand what they do with *their* free time?

I dont know about everyone else but i am perfectly aware of whats written there. I agree that, IF Damon did more videos, he would excell (in utube terms). Butin this artclice it did not use words in key places like “I think dfizzy…”. You didn’t create an account hoping to be popular, especially Damon. He created his account for FUN and it just so happens that his subscriber base and popularity has soared throughout his time in the community. Now if that’s the true reason for the creation of “DFizzy” then why should it now be a propriety and an obligation to upload a certain amount and on certain dates? It’s his channel, he does what he wants and he makes decisions on his own. He doesn’t need people telling him how to run his channel. As for CDV, once again it was made for fun and that’s why Damon joined in the first place. If you can’t accept the fact that you aren’t Damon and he’s his own self then quite frankely, you need to get a reality check. I’ve only known him for a short amount of time and haven’t gotten to talk with him all that much, but I think Damon is a great person and I support him 150%.

Wow, aright dude let me get straight to the point, there are wiser and more mature ways to aproach something like that. We all understand that you have the right and freedom to voice your opinion, but this right here is just stupid. YOu’re making yourself and Damon look bad. How so do you ask? There’s nothing wrong in voicing what you believe in, but there’s always a line to draw, just like everything else in life. And there are other ways to approach somehting like this, like I said before. Like talking to Damon about thi instead of embarassing him and making yourself look like at total douche bag (ex. texting, calling, skyping, whatever). You may not know this, but maybe he’s going through something in his life that hasbeen affecting him lately, and maybe that’s why there has been a lack of videos, or I don’t even know. you could’ve talked to him instead of jumping to conclusions. And there’s a lot of pressure and stuff that comes with this. Sometimes youtubers just a need a break. There are going to be times when these guys just need to take time to get their minds straight and you need to take that into consideration. So voice your opinion, but next time, think twice about what you’re going to post. And this right here is just starting drama and whether you like it or not, Damon can survive on youtube without him being on your collab. He doesn’t need you, cause he has all of us behind him and cheering him on. He was found out about his fans way before you if I’m not mistaking, and if i’m wrong, then oh well, you get the picture. And youtube for him is a hobbie, not a job. He makes videos for the fun of it and the joy of making people laugh, not because he’s obligated to. And maybe he’s better off without you. im a fan of dfizzys vids as well but i agree with what he said and theres no reason to get mad about it. everyone who said this is him hating or being jealous didnt really read it that well. he said he likes his style and that is unique so how is that hating? all he said is that dfizzy would do better if he uploaded more vids on his channel instead of doing a collab channel where LESS of his fans watch. im honestly upset that dfizzy got upset so easily by someone who just said what was true. i wonder if dfizzy ever thought about how often he upsets others when he states his opinions on his twitter. i doubt it.

when I saw how small my scroll bar was I figured I read the comments first. that took longer then the article lol. i thought that he must have wrote something really bad to make everyone so mad. wheres the awful stuff? lol all he said was they should do more videos on their own channels. for everyone who says its all a hobby and not a job youre somewhat right and wrong. hes a partner now so more it going to be expected from him. he knew that when he agreed to being in their program. nothing is more insulting then when a youtuber becomes a partner then screws around instead up taking advantage of it. its a slap in the face for everyone who is trying so hard to get into the program. im sorry dfizzy but i just cant deal with you anymore with your hypocritical tweets about voicing your opinions and always false promising new videos. i think it offended you because you know its so true.

CDV was so much better off without him even if it was only 4 people. the second he joined all of his 13 year old fan girls have been flooding the channel with dfizzy love comments and hating on everyone else. i found CDV because of andywarski and was excited until he got too caught up in it. i had hope he really did quit. hell if everyone quit CDV except for dfizzy then over half the subs wouldnt care because theyre too much of a die hard fan of his! great review man! cant wait to hear the podcast tomorrow with andy in it.

btw so many begged CDV not to add him but we didnt get notice because too many of his fan girls flooded the video with comments. they were so excited to see him again after he went months without any new videos. then dfizzy turns around and makes a video making fun of our comments! WTF!!! is that what he meant when he said he was just having “fun”. you dont do that with your own subcribers! you guys sold out big time.

Is it just me, or are people starting to hate on Dfizzy like Fred now? I still like Dfizzy. The only difference, Damon is a real person and he almost had his channel deleted.
Andy and Damon’s personalities definitely clash A LOT though. Dfizzy would have been better starting his own collab truthfullly.

I Truly Love CDV. but i think that EVERYONE needs to focus on there main channel. Ricky, AyyLucky, Dfizzy, and Edwin haven’t made a video in awhile. they all need to figure out what they want to do.
