It seems that so many YouTubes today are trying to come off as that “cool” dude or chick. Now there’s nothing wrong with that, but we need something refreshing. We need a pale video game addict who screams out that he’s a nerd. Luckily for us, there is such a YouTuber.

RickyThrills, a member of an increasingly popular CincoDeVlogo channel, brings out the nerd in all of us. Honestly, who doesn’t love that? His most recent video for CincoDeVlogo, Nerd-tacular Child Life, focuses on the typical childhood most guys (and some girls) that we wish to relive. Between Donkey Kong 64 and the first Play Station, this video actually brings back memories that we all enjoyed. However, there is more to RickyThrills than him being one of YouTube’s biggest nerds.

His videos often leave you laughing at the simple things. Between a fight with himself and the interview with his grandmother you’ll find that his smart ass attitude makes for great humor. It also has you wishing you could be a smart ass to your mother without getting slapped. Though some might say he comes off a little awkward, I say that’s exactly what makes this YouTuber stand out. He embraces that side that most of us try to avoid, and it creates new and refreshing content.

Yes, he does have a lot of growing to do as a YouTuber. However, I know him being apart of a five person channel blog is adding some “miracle grow” to his creativity and filming experience. At the moment, he provides the smart ass comedy that any nerd will appreciate. With that said, RickyThrills could possibly earn himself the title as YouTube’s number funniest nerd one day.
