I think the biggest flaw with this tutorial is that you assume that the reader is familiar with PhotoShop. Most(not all) of the people that are familiar with PS can easily figure out how to do this. 
The approach that I think would have been best for this would be to walk the readers through how you added the background color. Or simple things such as the importance of layers. I can also see that you altered a text(OUTBACK ZACK) to a shape, some readers that are new to PS have no clue how to do that.
I do realize there is too much to explain in photoshop, and your primary reason for writing this was to show how anyone is able to promote their YouTube account with some PS work applied to their twitter account. 
The only thing I could suggest is referring them to a tutorial(preferably free) on how to use Photoshop before reading this. I used graphicsdistrict.com &lt;--(they have a YouTube Channel) but I&#039;m sure you have you personal favorite. Talk to you later, bud.
